Uploading ftp from dreamweaver cs?

i am having problems uploading on dreamweaver. i cannot get the FTP test connection to work. my domain is from godaddy.com

ftp host: ftp.areenders.com

host directory: i can leave blank?

login: my godaddy id #

password: godaddy password

and all boxes are unchecked underneath. what am i doing wrong?

I am assuming you have setup a Site directory.

Be sure that you have correctly filled in the information required in the %26#039;Remote Info%26#039; category (i.e. Site / Manage Sites)

Access - Choose FTP

FTP Host: I simply enter my web URL here .. but follow the instructions given by your ISP

Host Directory: you may leave it blank unless your ISP has advised otherwise. i.e. I have /html/

Login: as advised by your ISP

Password: as advised by your ISP

Try toggling the %26#039;Use Passive FTP%26#039; option .. i.e. try it with and without checking the box ..

I do not have any other checkboxes marked, other than %26#039;Maintain synchronization information%26#039; ..

This should be all you need to do. If it still does not test successfully, double check your login and passwords as well as the information supplied to you by your domain hosting.

If all else fails, you could contact the customer service area for your web hosting and ask them for further assistance.

You probably need to append your domain to your login id.

i.e. login@whatever.com

Just a guess.

Other Replys:If your hostname, username, password are correct then what boyscout suggested is perfect

use %26#039;Use Passive FTP%26#039; option . It should work.
